A 48-year-old man was seriously injured Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle in the Mission Valley East area of San Diego.
The crash occurred at 1:10 a.m. Saturday in the 7600 block of Friars Road, according to San Diego Police Officer D. O’Brien.
The pedestrian was in westbound lanes when he was struck by a westbound vehicle, O’Brien said.
The driver of the vehicle fled and there was no description of the vehicle or driver, the officer said.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital by ambulance where he was treated for serious injuries including a skull fracture, facial fracture and a fractured right tibia and fibula, O’Brien said.
The crash was under investigation.
