As we countdown to hours to the big "Back to the Beginning" farewell Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath farewell concert extravaganza on July 5, new photos of the participants are popping up on social media to the delight of fans.
On the official Ozzy and Black Sabbath Instagram accounts a new photo of the band’s original lineup—drummer Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler, vocalist Ozzy Osbourne and guitarist Tony Iommi--was posted on Friday, July 4. It’s accompanied by the caption, “Back to the Beginning is TOMORROW!”

Fans could hardly contain their excitement in the comments.
“I traveled from Brazil to Birmingham in 2017 to watch the final concert of The End tour, my heart warmed when rumors of a reunion for the Commonwealth Games began, I know there was a beautiful performance with Ozzy and Tony, but the world was eagerly awaiting this glorious finale! I tried, I swear I tried to buy my ticket, and I would travel again just to witness this historic milestone, but I couldn't... so like thousands of other fans around the world I will dedicate my Saturday to watching via streaming, not the end of an era, but the consolidation of a unique work and a legacy that will never be forgotten!” wrote one.
“The founding fathers ???,” added another.
“Can’t wait! Best band this world has ever seen. Period. These 4 and these 4 only. We just dropped a little tribute to y’all ourselves since we couldn’t be there in person ??❤️,” add another.

The Aston Villa football club is also celebrating the occasion. The team’s official Instagram account, as well as Ozzy’s, jointly posted an epic photo of several of the participants in the big event.
Although there are far too many musicians in the photo to name, a quick scan of the photo shows Alice in Chain’s bassist Mike Inez and guitarist Zakk Wylde (both veterans of Ozzy’s solo band), Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, Metallica’s Metallica’s James Hetfield, Robert Trujillo, and Kirk Hammet and others posing with Ozzy seated in a throne and the other members of Sabbath.
“It’s taken us 57 years to get to the Villa, we made it. Back to the Beginning.” - Ozzy Osbourne,” AVFC captioned the photo.
Fans were also thrilled by that photo.
“No other music style is capable to reunite so many talented and legends people. Thanks Heavy Metal!” wrote one fan.
