AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said it was investigating a homicide in south Austin Tuesday night after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
According to APD, multiple people called 911 at approximately 10:15 p.m. after the crash occurred in the 3000 block of South Lamar Boulevard.
At the scene, officers found a person with “obvious trauma.” First responders performed life-saving measures, but the person was declared dead at 10:40 p.m., according to police.
