ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 45-year-old man, who was a substitute teacher for the Pittsford Central School District, has pleaded guilty for having child pornography.
On Nov. 5, 2024, state police executed a search warrant at Kevin Burns home in Irondequoit because of a child pornography file he uploaded to Bing Image. Burns was found with over 450 images of child pornography.
In a letter from the Pittsford school district, they said Burns worked for the school from 2009 to 2024 as a secondary-level paraprofessional and substitute teacher.
They also said the district didn’t receive any complaints of inappropriate conduct while Burns taught in Pittsford and there is no reason to believe that the situation is related to the district.

Burns faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
