A couple of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars will be going from dancing on TikTok to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom this fall!
Two ladies who first shot to internet fame as part of the dancing MomTok group – and then got their own spicy Hulu reality show – learned they’d been chosen for the hit ABC dance show during the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 2 reunion special.
At the end of the reunion show, which dropped on Hulu on July 1, host Nick Viall officially announced that two of the reality show’s stars would be joining DWTS Season 34 later in 2025.
Viall told the group of gals, including Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Frankie Taylor Paul, Jen Affleck, Mayci Neely, Miranda McWhorter, Whitney Leavitt and Mikayla Matthews, a surprise was coming their way. "Tonight," the former Bachelor said, "we are going to be announcing who is going to be on next season of Dancing with the Stars.”

In a stunning revelation, Viall noted to the group of gals, some of whom were accompanied by their Mormon husbands, “I heard most of you auditioned recently while filming [the upcoming] Season 3 [of Mormon Wives]. I gotta know, who wants it the most?”
Nervous, Whitney replied, “I feel like me and Jen.”
Viall asked, “Who deserves it the most?”
According to Taylor, it was Jen’s life drea. "But out of anyone, Whitney was an actual dancer.” She then turned to Whitney, “Like, you’ve danced your whole life.”
In fact, as Parade previously reported, Whitney had been previously rumored to be a DWTS choice from Secret Lives. On May 19, Whitney caused a commotion after she posted a brief reel on Instagram that showed her dancing with a DWTS sign behind her. Her caption read, “Dream it, work for it, cry about it, but most importantly…KEEP GOING!!!!!!.” But the rumor wasn’t confirmed at that time.
On the reunion special, Viall said, “Well, the newest contestant on season 34 with Dancing with the Stars season is, drum roll please...She might not be related to the stars, but she’s going to be dancing with them. Congratulations, Jen Affleck!”

Zac hugged his wife with joy at the DWTS announcement. Although Jen was pregnant at the reunion show, presumably she will have given birth to her third child with husband Zac before she starts rehearsing for DWTS. The blonde beauty, 26, left Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives after experiencing prenatal depression. But, as she said at the reunion, she is now doing much better and is back in the show’s fold.
Jen got teary-eyed, the cast cheered and co-star Jessi said of Jen and DWTS, “It’s all she’s wanted.”
“She’s talked about it since day one," Taylor agreed.
Viall then turned to Whitney, asking her, “I know you wanted this. How are you feeling?” She replied, “Obviously, I’m happy for Jen. Like, I’ll be there front and center rooting you on, girl.”
The cast also pointed out to Whitney that there was always next year’s DWTS for her instead.
Viall teased, “Anything is possible,” to the group on the couch. “I have one more surprise announcement for you. It turns out, because you women are so adored, they are going to be sending two of you to Dancing with the Stars. Are you ready for that second announcement?”

Viall paused, then yelled, “Whitney Leavitt!” Whitney, 32, leaped into the arms of her husband, Conner Leavitt, and he spun her around.
“Let’s see your moves, congratulations!” Viall said to Whitney and Jen and they held hands and bounced up and down with excitement.
Jen crowed to Whitney as she hugged her, “We’re moving to L.A.!” which is where DWTS is shot.
Jen strutted around and said, “Bring it on! Vote for me!”
Conner smiled, joking, “Now I’m not voting for you, Jen.”
Taylor told the two lucky ladies, “That’s crazy, you’re competing against each other.” But the compettive element didn’t faze them. Whitney and Jen squeezed hands as the reunion show concluded.
The Provo, Utah powerhouse women join two previously announced DWTS competitors for season 34, the late Crocodile HunterSteve Irwin’s son and wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and social media star Alix Earle.
