The San Jose Sharks made nine selections at the 2025 NHL Draft at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. They did not trade up or down during the two-day event.
Every player the Sharks selected, but one, was listed at 6 feet or taller. The Sharks didn’t take anyone listed at 5-11 or shorter last year and 2023, the only two players the Sharks took who were listed as being under 6-feet tall were 5-9 defenseman Luca Cagnoni (123rd overall, fourth round) and 5-11 defenseman Eric Polhkamp (132nd overall, fifth round).
It’s a departure from the 2020 draft, in which only two of the nine players the Sharks drafted were taller than 5-foot-11 — 6-foot-4 forward Brandon Coe in the fourth round and 6-foot winger Timofey Spitserov in the seventh round,
