GREECE, N.Y. — Jackson’s Bakery on Stone Road in Greece is closed for the time being.
A News10NBC crew saw a sign on the door that said it was closed “due to unsafe and unsanitary conditions.”
When our crew stopped by Friday afternoon, they saw police there with the owner, who appeared to be collecting personal belongings.
News10NBC has the inspection from the Monroe County Department of Public Health, which says 13 violations were found, three of which were public health hazards, and that the owner appeared to be living at the bakery with multiple cats.
It also said an inspector found cat food, cat hair, and a litter box in the bakery. Mouse droppings and cigarette butts were found on prep tables and in freezers by inspectors as well.
