PENFIELD, N.Y. — The Red Cross is helping two adults and several children who were displaced after their apartment complex in Penfield caught fire on Thursday night.
The fire left the side of two apartments charred and melted on Penbrooke Drive off Penfield Road. It started around 10:30 p.m. We spoke with a Penfield fire official.
“There was two adults and I think four to six children who were in the apartment. We were able to get a quick knockdown. There was no injuries,” he said.
News10NBC’s photojournalist saw the children outside the apartment complex in good spirits after the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
