Jayden Seales brutally punished by ICC after harakiri with Pat Cummins

West Indies quick Jayden Seales has been a great performer for his team, as he responded with a stunning five-fer in the first innings of the Barbados test against Australia.

Jayden Seales picked up the crucial wickets of Australian batters like Josh Inglis, Alex Carey, Mitchell Starc, and skipper Pat Cummins, while he completed his 5-fer with the last wicket of Josh Hazlewood.

During the 55th over of the first innings, when Seales bowled to Australian skipper Pat Cummins, who seemed confident with a 17-ball 28-run inning. The skipper smashed 3 fours and a six in his brief innings.

As Jayden Seales floated a ball, Cummins hit it straight to Kraigg Brathwaite at mid-off and was caught for 28 runs. After the wicket, Seales looked at Cummins and pointed his finger towards the pavilion, which seemed a bit of an offensive send-off to the opponent skipper.

Seales was bowling in the 55th over of the game, while Pat Cummins had already struck him for a six as well as a boundary, which took the batter to a solid 28 runs; however, the bowler was looking for a chance to bounce back.

After the insulting send-off from Jayden Seales, the West Indies quick was found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the ICC's code of conduct.

The code refers to 'using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an international match.'

This incident marked Jayden Seales' second offence in a period of 2 years, as a result of which he was added another demerit point to his record. If a player has four or more demerit points, then they are turned into suspension points. Two suspension points lead to a ban from at least one test or two ODIs or T20s.

Australian pacers hit back as West Indies takes a 10-run lead

Barbados looks like an old hell for batters, as pacers are once again dominating with the red ball. After the West Indies quicks got over the Australian batters in the first innings, the Aussie quicks also had a similar outing in Barbados.

Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins, the stellar pace trio from Australia, looked lethal as they shared 7 wickets between them. Beau Webster also picked up two wickets for Australia, which included the highest scorer, Shai Hope.

Starc gave early breakthroughs to the Aussies, while Josh Hazlewood and skipper Cummins stepped up and picked wickets to break partnerships every time it looked like the West Indies were settling down. The West Indies hence took a lead of 10 runs in the first innings.

Jayden Seales to Shamar Joseph: West Indies look fatal with four fast bowlers

The West Indies have been the side known for their efficiency in top-notch pace bowling; however, ever since the greats like Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh retired, the nation has not had any great quicks in recent years.

However, the big men hailing from the island nations of the West Indies have formed a new deck with four quicks: Jayden Seales, Shamar Joseph, Alzarri Joseph and Justin Greaves, as seen in the first test against Australia.

Of them Seales and Shamar Joseph look lethal with the pace they produce, while Alzarri Joseph brings in some considerable experience alongside his name. Though this might be too early to make any remark, the West Indies look dangerous with their quicks giving them an early advantage against the mighty Aussies.
