Serena Williams is living her best yacht life and made sure Simone Biles knew it.
On Wednesday, June 25, the 43-year-old tennis legend posted an Instagram Story from her family vacation aboard a boat off the coast of Corsica. In the clip, she showed off bright blue water and a view of the Bonifacio White Chapel. Tagging Biles, 28, Williams wrote, “Jealous?”
The gymnastics star didn’t hesitate to respond. She reposted the video to her own Stories with the message, “Girllllllll yes,” followed by a mending heart and crying emoji. Biles also added a cheeky warning: “just you wait ??.”

It’s the latest in a long-running string of public exchanges between the two GOATs.
In April, Williams posted a photo from the TIME 100 Gala and joked that she had found her new tennis partner. “The highlight of my night meeting my favorite #Avenger Scarlett Johansson ❤️?? And of course being reunited with my new doubles partner @simonebiles,” she wrote. Biles was quick to play along, commenting, “Coming soon to a court near you.”

That wasn’t their first viral moment, either.
In 2020, Williams and Ohanian staged a toy “Mini Olympics” at home during lockdown and joked about Biles while pretending to compete. The 23-time Grand Slam champ landed a vault with a plastic figurine while Ohanian offered dramatic commentary in full sportscaster mode: “The U.S. Olympic team has really fallen off since Simone Biles left and was replaced by this,” he joked. “Quite the terrible dismount, probably broke a few bones on that.”

The duo also shared a sweet moment in October 2024, when Biles met Williams’ 7-year-old daughter Olympia — whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian — at the Gold Over America Tour. (The couple also share a second daughter, Adira, born in 2023.)
Ohanian, 42, posted about the outing on Instagram, writing, “Thank you Simone and @jordanchiles for absolutely making Olympia's MONTH ?.”

The proud dad even joked about trying (and failing) to make a pancake that looked like Olympia in one of her new leotards: “Sorry babygirl, photorealism is hard ?? and the batter was too runny today.”

But their friendship goes deeper than social posts and inside jokes. In 2021, Williams honored the elite gymnast in TIME, writing, “What she embodies truly reflects the endless potential of Black women… Simone is a shining example of what success looks like when you let go of what the world thinks and gather your strength from yourself.”
The recent exchange comes on the heels of Biles marking Olympic Day with a sentimental look back at her career. Just a few days earlier, she posted throwbacks from all three of her Games — Rio, Tokyo, and Paris — where she became the most decorated U.S. gymnast in history. She ended the post with a nighttime photo of the Eiffel Tower lit with the Olympic rings and wrote, “okay I’m done. so blessed to go to 3 olympic games with team usa ?.”
