Tarek El Moussa and wife Heather Rae El Moussa found their dream home — and they are ready to customize it to their exact specifications.
“We fell in love with this house because of how open it is,” Heather, 37, said in a Tuesday, June 24, house tour shared via Instagram. “When we walked in, it was just like, high ceilings [and] everything was open.”
Tarek, 43, and Heather are also looking to “extend” the open kitchen to accommodate two refrigerators.
“One for wine [and] one for kids’ drinks,” Heather said. “[We’ll have] floating shelves [above it] with some cool wallpaper and lighting.”

The Flipping El Moussa stars announced earlier this month that they were moving houses.
“We are so excited for this new chapter and new adventure for our family,” Tarek and Heather captioned a joint Instagram post on Thursday, June 20. “We can’t wait to make this house a home and add our El Moussa design flare, and show you guys some of the process.”
Heather, for her part, was particularly taken by the primary bedroom’s walk-in closet.
“Ideally, this would be a closet for me,” she joked. “All my ladies out there, I am one [who] hates to stand and do my makeup. I need to, like, be sitting.”

To accommodate her seated preference, Heather noted that she was “so excited” that the closet had a built-in vanity station. Her husband, meanwhile, had other priorities for their bedroom.
“We’re going to need a big-ass TV,” Tarek quipped.
The house also has separate bedrooms for their three children. Tarek and Heather share son Tristan, 2, while the Flip or Flop alum also coparents daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9, with his ex-wife, Christina Haack.

“She has her own bathroom, which is very exciting for her,” Heather explained of her stepdaughter’s space. “Right now, she’s been sharing with Brayden. It’s a powder bath, which is probably the only thing I don’t love about the house, just because blue, to me, is a new color for me to get into. It’s not my vibe.”
Instead, Tarek and Heather will replace the backsplash with a “fluted tile” and paint it in a new hue.
Brayden and Tristan will also have their own bedrooms.
“The boys have rooms right next to each other, which is cute,” Heather said. “Then, they are sharing a bathroom. Don’t tell Brayden that! We’re going to keep everything the same in here, and just paint [the walls].”
