Harry Brook tried to get under the skin of India’s tailender Prasidh Krishna, and that plan worked in favor of England on Day 4 of the ongoing five-match Test series at Headingley. Harry Brook played with Prasidh Krishna’s ego by questioning his big six-hitting abilities, and in the next ball, the Indian pacer lost his wicket to Shoaib Bashir.
Prasidh Krishna had to walk back to the pavilion even without opening his account in India’s second innings on Day 4 because of a cheeky sledge from Brook. The Indian tail-ender was out for a duck after facing 11 balls in the second innings. However, he could have saved his wicket if he was not trapped in Brook’s clever mind games on Day 4 of the ongoing first Test.
With Prasidh Krishna on strike, Brook, who was stationed at slip, was caught on the stump mic teasing him, asking if the Indian bowler could hit big sixes. After Brook teased him by saying, “Can you hit big sixes?” Prasidh fired back and jokingly said, “If I had to, I would be called Harry Brook.”

But the exchange may have gotten into the Indian bowler’s head. On the very next ball, instead of playing it safe and grinding out a few more deliveries, Prasidh tried to go big against spinner Shoaib Bashir. He knelt down and swung for a six over cow corner but mistimed it completely.
Josh Tongue came running in and took a diving catch to wrap up India’s innings at 364 runs. Even the broadcaster Star Sports shared a clip of the moment on X and captioned it, “Can you hit big "sixes?"—Harry Brook on the stump mic... and Prasidh goes for it on the very next ball and gets out. Classic Test cricket theater—brought to you by the mic (and a bit of mischief). ?”

Meanwhile, India’s lower-order troubles continued on Day 4 of the first Test at Headingley, as they collapsed from 333/4 to 364 all out, losing their last six wickets for just 31 runs against England. The story was the same in the first innings, where they fell from a strong position to lose seven wickets for 41 runs and were bowled out for 471.

The remarkable centuries from KL Rahul (137) and Rishabh Pant (118) in the second innings powered India to set a tough target of 371 for England. In the first innings, the hosts had scored 465 in their first innings, with Jasprit Bumrah shining again with a brilliant five-wicket haul.
As the play of Day 5 began, England now needed 330 runs to win the first test against India with 10 wickets in hand. Both teams still have a chance, with the pressure on India’s bowlers to strike early. Prasidh Krishna picked up three wickets in the first innings, but his expensive spell cost 128 runs from 20 overs with no maiden, but still, his role on Day 5 will be crucial for India.
