Due to finish in early 2028, the project will add around 7,400 sq m of concourse and terminal space to meet growing demand in Central Oregon.
At the end, the airport will have seven new jet bridges, a doubled terminal-seating area, and around 550 sq m of new retail and restaurant concession space.
Skanska will also make a range of accessibility improvements, add more than 25 new restroom stalls, and upgrade the airports public address system.
The airport is aiming for a LEED Silver certification with more energy-efficient lighting, a modern HVAC system, and 315 extra solar panels.
“With this expansion, we’re not just preparing for the future, we’re shaping it,” said City of Redmond Mayor, Ed Fitch.
“Redmond Airport is a critical gateway for Central Oregon, and this project ensures we continue to meet the needs of our communities with vision, care and forward-thinking infrastructure.”
