Three-star EDGE Mickey Williams committed to Arizona State football on Sunday, giving the program its 18th 2026 pledge.
Williams is listed at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds out of Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep in San Francisco. He is the No. 96 EDGE in 2026, per 247 Sports’ composite ranking.
In seven games as a junior, Williams posted 21 tackles and one sack.
His decision to become a Sun Devil came after visiting Tempe a week before.
Williams cited his relationships with position coaches Diron Reynolds and Vince Amey as to why ASU was the right fit for him. Kenny Dillingham went out of his way to connect with the young EDGE rusher, Williams added.
Which other EDGEs does Arizona State football have committed?
Williams is the third 2026 EDGE to commit, joining Julian Hugo (No. 44 EDGE) and Mesa Westwood product Sinei Tengei (No. 113).
They, along with 2025 junior college transfer Joshua Shanklin, will look to replace production from an EDGE group that will likely lose all four of its rotational members.
Clayton Smith, Prince Dorbah, Justin Wodtly and Elijah O’Neal were consistent in the roles a season ago and look to improve upon them further for 2025.
EDGEs currently on the team waiting in the wings and developing ahead of a potential opportunity include redshirt freshmen Albert Smith III and Salesi Manu, the latter of whom was a spring standout for Dillingham among young players.
