— Arkansas Baseball (@RazorbackBSB) June 21, 2025Aloy beat out finalists Tennessee ace Liam Doyle and Florida State infielder Alex Lodise for college baseball’s top individual honor. This is the fourth time in the last five years that an SEC player has won this award.
Arkansas has produced multiple Golden Spikes Award winners. The Razorbacks also had pitcher Kevin Kopps, who took home this prize back in 2021. Andrew Benintendi also won the Golden Spikes Award while playing for the Hogs back in 2015.
Aloy and his brother were two of Arkansas’ top players this season. Wehiwa Aloy is expected to be a first-round pick in next month’s MLB draft while his brother, Kuhio Aloy, just finished his sophomore season and is expected to return to Fayetteville for another year in 2026.
Arkansas was eliminated from the CWS earlier this week by LSU in heartbreaking fashion. In what will likely be his final game at the collegiate level, Aloy went 1-for-5 with a run scored in a 6-5 loss to the Tigers.
