(KRON) – The estranged wife of San Francisco Giants player Sean Hjelle has accused the pitcher of abuse.
In a TikTok post, Caroline Hjelle accused Sean of abandoning their family on Mother’s Day after she discovered infidelity. Caroline stated she “stopped putting up with his abuse” and was raising their children alone.
In the post, Caroline is with their two children. “Yeah I’ve had to be silent for too long about this," Caroline said. She also hashtagged divorce, solo mom and infidelity.
John Fisher to sell San Jose EarthquakesThe Giants organization told KRON4 in a statement, “We are aware of these serious allegations. We have been in contact with MLB. These type of allegations fall under their jurisdiction, and we won’t be commenting further.”
Manager Bob Melvin said before Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox that Hjelle would be available to pitch.
“Obviously we’re aware of it,” Melvin said. “He told me about it last night. We talked to MLB. At this point, it’s in their jurisdiction right now so I really can’t comment on it further.”
