Larry Elvis Hunt age 77, formerly of Watertown died Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Born Nov. 29, 1947 in Carthage, TN, he was the son of the late Charlie Elvis Hunt and Juanita Mai Bennett Hunt. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Agnew Hunt on Aug. 20, 2023 and by a grandchild, Poppy Hunt.
Larry was a graduate of Smith Co. High School and attended Fall’s Business College. He served in the US Army from 1967-1969. Larry was a professional musician and played bass guitar and toured with Marty Robbins and his son, Ronny Robbins for more than a decade.
He is survived by his son, Houston Hunt and his wife, Jennifer of Murfreesboro and daughter, Amber Hunt Phillips and her husband, Josh of Lebanon; grandchildren, Ely and Weston Hunt, Everly Phillips; sisters, Christine (Terry) Woodard of Defeated Creek and Patsy (Jay) Vinson of Hogans Creek; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Pam Midgett; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home with Patsy Vinson officiating. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. till service time on Sunday. Interment with military honors will follow at Hunter Memorial Park in Watertown.
