India National Cricket Team star opening batsman KL Rahul was furious with himself after his dismissal in the Test series opener against the England National Cricket Team.
The first Test of the five-match series between the India National Cricket Team and the England National Cricket Team got underway on Friday, June 20, at Headingley in Leeds.

Rahul opened the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal after India were invited to bat first in the match. He looked solid in the middle and continued his good form.
Notably, Rahul had recently participated in an unofficial Test match against England Lions and batted brilliantly, registering scores of 116 and 51.
Meanwhile, the conditions were not tough to bat on Day 1 in Leeds, and Rahul, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, made the most of it. The opening duo provided India with a great start and stitched up an excellent partnership. They added 91 runs for the opening wicket before Rahul fell in the 25th over.
On the fifth ball of the 25th over, pacer Brydon Carse bowled a full-length outside off-stump outswinger to Rahul, who went for a shot and only managed to get a thick edge.
The ball went flying towards Joe Root in the slips, and the England legend grabbed a sharp catch around chest high in reverse-cup style. KL Rahul was absolutely furious with himself after getting out, and he kicked the air in frustration. He walked off the field disappointed with 42 runs off 78 balls, including 8 fours, under his belt.

I reached out to Shubman the minute the team was announced - KL Rahul
Recently, KL Rahul revealed his first reaction after Shubman Gill was announced as the new Test captain in an interaction on Sony Sports Network. He elaborated:
"I reached out to Shubman the minute the team was announced, and when he was announced (as) the captain. (I told him) You will always find me around, any help, any guidance, if you need someone to share something with or talk to, I’m always there. But I believe you need to give people their space to really follow their gut instinct. If they need help, I’m always there.
"We have been together. (If) We don’t get results our way, somewhere along the way, everyone makes mistakes. That’s not going to change. We are going to try and help out everyone in the team. I’m always there."
