Clemson has landed a commitment from Buford (Ga.) High edge defender Dre Quinn.
The 6-foot-4, 228-pound end wrapped up a 3-week stretch last weekend during which he took official visits to Clemson, Georgia, and Texas. Following the OV to Austin, he canceled a pair of future OVs and locked in a commitment date. On Thursday, during a live stream on the On3 YouTube channel, Quinn picked the Tigers. Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and Notre Dame were also in the mix.
“When I first went there, I felt the home feeling,” Quinn said immediately after announcing his commitment. “Dabo was very welcoming. All the players, it felt like I’ve known them for years, the way they treated me. They’re big on faith. They’re big on life after football. This just fit me in every aspect.”
Quinn made his official visit to Clemson at the end of May. He made an unofficial visit to Clemson last November for a game against Louisville and had an offer from Dabo Swinney’s Tigers just days later. The Tigers had been pushing for his verbal since.
In the industry-generated 247 Composite, Quinn is a 4-star recruit and the 26th-ranked edge defender in the class. He’s the 29th-ranked prospect from the state of Georgia. Overall, he’s the 263rd-ranked recruit in the Class of 2026.
According to MaxPreps, Quinn made 42 tackles with 9.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in 11 appearances last fall. He has high school experience playing all over the defense as well as on offense as a wide receiver.
Quinn’s verbal pledge gives Clemson its 19th known commitment in the 2026 cycle. The class currently ranks sixth nationally, according to the 247 Composite. Quinn is the 13th blue-chipper to join the group. You can see his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
