A trendy milkshake flavor that went so viral it sold out day after day following its initial release is making a big comeback nationwide.
Yep, Shake Shack's viral Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake is officially getting a re-release this summer, and this time, it's going nationwide.
“As Shake Shack continues to grow globally, we’re always looking for ways to bring exciting, internationally inspired flavors to our menu," Shake Shack's director of culinary & commercialization, Jim Frisch, explained in a statement. "This shake was originally created for the UAE, inspired by the viral chocolate pistachio trend in Dubai. We used premium ingredients to give it a signature Shack spin, and when we introduced it in New York, LA, and Miami, the response was incredible."

For those who never got the chance to try it the first time around, Shake Shack's Dubai Chocolate Pistachio milkshake takes pistachio frozen custard and mixes it with toasted kataifi shredded phyllo, a crackable dark chocolate shell, before topping it off with chopped pistachios and even more crunchy kataifi. When it first debuted, Parade rated it an "absolute 10/10."
"Nearly every Shack sold out each day," Frisch added, "and it was clear fans across the country were eager to try it."
And now they can, thanks to its expanded availability–but obtaining it still won't be so easy.
According to a spokesperson, the returning Shake Shack favorite will have limited availability due to its premium ingredients, so locations are limited to the number of shakes they can sell per day. So, to keep everything running smoothly, Shake Shack's Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake will only be available to order in-store at the register or self-order kiosk for about $9.49 (prices may vary by location).
