How your MP voted on decriminalising abortion at any time during their pregnancy

MPs have voted in favour of decriminalising women who want to have an abortion.

Labour MP Tonia Antoniazzi’s amendment to the Crime and Policing Bill was supported, with 379 MPs voting for it, and 137 opposing it, majority 242.

Antoniazzi’s said it will remove the threat of “investigation, arrest, prosecution or imprisonment” of any woman who acts in relation to her own pregnancy.

Justice minister Alex Davies-Jones said the Government is neutral on decriminalisation and that it is an issue for Parliament to decide upon in a Westminster Hall debate earlier this month.

Several high-profile Cabinet ministers were among the MPs who backed the amendment including Energy Secretary Ed Miliband Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Pat McFadden.

The i Paper takes a look at how all the MPs voted.
