Ryan Seacrest has Wheel of Fortune fans in an uproar over his hosting skills on the hit game show. Thanks to Wheel of Fortune reruns airing for the summer, Seacrest’s mistakes are coming back to bite him.
The rerun episode featured contestants Latricia Randolph, Todd Meyer, and Sheree Corder on Monday, June 16. During a rare crossword puzzle segment, Meyer made a mistake that cost him big.

The word party was the main word in the crossword puzzle, with animal, bus, decorations, and time being the words the contestants needed to guess. Meyer knew the answers and got them all right.
However, his delivery cost him the cash, because he put the word party in front of each word. Seacrest revealed that the contestants can only say the words being guessed on the board. When the episode first aired, it sent Reddit users into a frenzy, and the return has them riled up again.
“Makes me mad every time! Sometimes he reminds contestants how to solve these puzzles properly, and sometimes he doesn't. Doesn't seem fair. Oh, and this contestant today looked PISSED!” read a comment.
Another comment stated, “Yeah that was weird, none of that be careful, don't add anything say only what is up there."
One comment declared, “Contestants should know the rules first. Ever since Ryan took over I feel like more and more contestants don’t know majority of the rules. At the same time I do feel bad for the guy.”
“I stopped watching the first night Ryan started hosting. Not surprised he is bad at it, exactly what I expected, so that's why I stopped watching,” said a comment.
Some Reddit users wasted no time comparing Seacrest to his predecessor, Pat Sajak.
“Pat ALWAYS made sure to list the rules for these more meta puzzles! and this contestant today looked PISSED!100%,” declared one comment, while another expressed, “Pat was really good with emphasizing not to add anything.”
Wheel of Fortune fans are seemingly not happy with Seacrest, and there aren’t even new episodes of the game show currently airing.
