A 32-year-old man took a deal and pleaded guilty Tuesday to three felonies in an attempted kidnapping near Mountain Range High School last year, according to court records.
Jeremiah Mullins pleaded guilty to second-degree motor vehicle theft, aggravated robbery and attempted second-degree kidnapping, court records show.
The deal dropped nine other felony charges from his case, including three counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of attempted second-degree kidnapping and one count each of second-degree kidnapping, attempted aggravated robbery, vehicular eluding and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
It also dismissed two violent crime sentence enhancers, according to the plea deal document.
Mullins was arrested in October after he approached a girl walking to school near West 125th Avenue and Delaware Street in Westminster.
Police said Mullins threatened the girl with a gun and told her to get in his car. When the girl refused, Mullins grabbed her backpack and took off, police said.
