Bhubaneswar: The School and Mass Education Department announced on Monday that schools across the state will reopen on June 20, instead of the previously scheduled date of June 18.
In a letter issued by the State Project Management Unit (PM Poshan) to the State Nodal Officer (PM Poshan) and all District Education Officers, the department clarified the change.
The letter stated, “In partial modification of the instructions issued earlier, the date of reopening of schools may be read as 20.06.2025 instead of 18.06.2025.” It further noted that all other instructions, including the provision of midday meals from the reopening date, remain unchanged.
The rectification pertains to earlier guidelines on serving Mid-Day Meals (MDM) upon school reopening, ensuring meals will be provided starting June 20, 2025.
