CARMICHAEL – Sacramento County deputies have surrounded a Carmichael home they say a man has barricaded in.
Around 5 p.m., deputies were alerted by a homeowner that someone was seen on security cameras breaking into a home on Hilltop Drive.
Deputies said it's possible that firearms are inside the home.
The suspect has been located inside the home by himself and public address announcements are being made, deputies said.
Evacuation of surrounding homes has started, deputies said, with some residents choosing to shelter in place.
