ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We managed to see a pretty nice Father’s Day weekend, and we’ll keep the fair weather going to start the new work week. Clouds will generally win out, but we’ll see some sunshine on Monday, and temperatures will be a few degree milder, putting us into the mid and upper 70s. More importantly, humidity stays in check. It’ll start to turn slightly more muggy later Monday, but still fairly comfortable.
That will start to change by Tuesday. Dew points will surge through the 60s on Tuesday, likely hitting the lower 70s on Wednesday. This will not only make it feel a bit more uncomfortable for many, but it’ll help to produce some local downpours in any storm that develops. Flooding shouldn’t be a concern at this point, but we’ll see some heavier rain at times. A cold front sweeping through early Thursday will keep some showers chances around early Thursday, but it’ll also drop our dew points through the day. So, it’ll begin to feel more comfortable by Thursday afternoon.
Friday looks good with lower humidity and a fresher breeze, but the heat begins to build again through the weekend. Saturday will likely hit the lower 80s, but we may be in the 90s for the first time this season by the end of next weekend. In addition to that, humidity is expected to surge once again.
