Marseille have completed the signing of England under-21 international CJ Egan-Riley.
The defender will join the French giants on a free transfer when his Burnley contract expires at the end of the month.
His arrival comes after the Clarets confirmed the 22-year-old had rejected their offer of a ‘significant long-term contract’.
Egan-Riley will instead join up with Marseille following the Under-21 Euros in Slovakia.
He was an unused substitute for Lee Carsley’s Young Lions in their opening victory over Czechia on Thursday.
The centre-back began his career with Manchester City before joining Burnley in 2022.
Following loan spells at Hibernian and PSV, he established himself in the first-team under Scott Parker last term.
Egan-Riley made 41 league appearances as they secured promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
However, he will now swap Turf Moor for the Stade Velodrome and Champions League football next season.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side finished second in Ligue 1 last term to confirm their place in the league phase for the upcoming campaign.
The Italian now has four English players in his squad following the signing of Egan-Riley.
He will join Mason Greenwood, Jonathan Rowe and Angel Gomes at the club this summer.

Only Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele scored as many league goals as Greenwood following his arrival from Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Rowe will make his loan from Norwich permanent next month.
The winger is also currently on international duty alongside Egan-Riley for the under-21s.
Similarly to the incoming defender, Gomes has also agreed to join Marseille on a free transfer.
He will complete a switch from Lille once his contract runs out at the end of June.
The former United academy starlet has already spent four years in France after leaving Old Trafford.
During that time he has won four senior England caps since making his debut in September.
