Will Smith has been getting back to his music roots recently, dropping another song that his fans are predicting to be his next "summer hit."
Smith dominated the summer of 1991 with"Summertime," and while he wasn't officially credited with the song of the summer for "Getting Jiggy Wit It" or "Miami," we sure heard a lot of both songs over the summers of 1998 and 1999.
Music lovers are already trying to figure out which hit will define the summer of 2025, and now, Smith has thrown his hat in the ring with "Pretty Girls." This new song comes just two months after the release of his fifth album, Based on a True Story, and ahead of his headlining tour, which kicks off in Morocco on June 25.

The song is catchy, with Smith starting the music video off in a therapy session. "It's been a problem since I was a little boy," he explains. "Actually, I think it's gotten worse as I've gotten older. I thought I had it under control, but I'm literally experiencing it right now. Like literally, this second."
After his therapist asks him to "define this problem," Smith breaks into what we can only describe as the next runway hit. "This will be a great catwalk song!! Yes!!!! ? ??️????"—and we can see this becoming the next fashion show anthem the way Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" did in 1992.
When it comes to fan feedback, there's been plenty of it, with one Instagram commenter writing, "One thing Will Smith gonna do is make summer hits!"
Another chimed in, "???I'm rocking with it," while plenty more saw its potential on the internet, with comments like, "I see the vision, going for the social media reels bag."
"I can see this working. Especially on TikTok or a commercial," another commenter declared of "Pretty Girls."
Not everyone is a fan of the song, which is to be expected, as one person wrote, "Will Smith is an icon but objectively speaking this song is terrible."
