Chelsea and Manchester City are the only English teams competing in the blockbuster new-look 32-team tournament.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will make his Real Madrid debut during the competition after Los Blancos paid Liverpool a £10million fee to complete his switch from Merseyside to Spain early.

The Club World Cup promises to be a thriller and not one you will want to miss.

SunSport brings you all the details you need on the blockbuster summer tournament.

When is the Club World Cup 2025?

The Club World Cup 2025 will begin on Sunday, June 15, in the UK and Saturday, June 14, in the US. The tournament will run until Sunday, July 13. It is being held across 12 different cities and stadiums in the United States. The whole tournament will be broadcast by DAZN in the UK and US. Matches can be watched on DAZN TV or via the website/app. In the UK, Channel 5 will also air select games on terrestrial TV.

Club World Cup 2025 prize money

One of the main reasons why so many giant clubs are taking part in the Club World Cup is due to the mammoth prize pot.

The winning side will earn up to $125million/£97m, which is close to what the Premier League (£176m) and Champions League (£135m) payout to their winners.

Prize money of a colossal £775m ($1bn) will be shared between the 32 clubs, with a £407m ($525m) participation fee shared based on sporting and commercial criteria, and £368m ($475m) shared based on sporting performance.

Fifa is not keeping any revenue made from the huge tournament and it expects to share another £200m ($250m) with clubs as solidarity payments.
