DENVER (KDVR) -- A landspout tornado was seen near Lochbuie on Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service reported that a trained spotter saw a landspout tornado at 4:10 p.m. two miles south-southwest of Lochbuie.
Severe weather prompted tornado warnings Friday afternoon in Adams and Weld counties and a ground stop at Denver International Airport.
The warnings, which expired at 4:30 p.m., covered areas north of the airport, including Brighton, Fort Lupton, Lochbuie and Hudson.
A viewer shared a video with FOX31 showing the conditions near Interstate 76 around Brighton.
The Denver International Airport is also impacted by the weather, with a ground stop being issued due to windy conditions, according to the Federal Aviation Administration website.
Online flight tracking tool FlightAware shows that 423 flights in and out of DIA have been delayed on Friday, and six have been canceled. Most of the delays were on Southwest, United and SkyWest.
