OAKFIELD, N.Y. — A coach for the Oakfield-Alabama school district in Genesee County has been removed from all coaching responsibilities after the district received a report of “inappropriate conduct”.
That’s according to an email from the superintendent sent to families and staff. The superintendent said the district got a report on Tuesday, June 3 of “inappropriate conduct” between a coach and a student.
The email doesn’t name the coach or elaborate on the report. The email did say that the coach is now banned from district property and is prohibited from contacting the district’s students or staff.
The district says it’s cooperating with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office on an investigation and anyone with information on the matter should reach out to the sheriff’s office. Here’s the full message:
