CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Heavy rain rolled through Charlotte late Thursday night, triggering flash flood warnings and leaving parts of the city under water.
Emergency crews were busy throughout the night, responding to multiple water rescues as roads and neighborhoods quickly flooded.
One rescue happened along North Tryon Street, where Charlotte Fire and Medic crews pulled a person from high water. Paramedics said the person suffered minor injuries.
But that was far from the only rescue. In the Steele Creek community, neighbors woke up to waterlogged yards and swollen streams. A mobile home park near Westinghouse Boulevard saw some of the worst of it.
Residents told Queen City News that several repair trucks arrived Friday morning to assess the damage. The floodwater damaged skirting panels at the base of multiple mobile homes, and some driveways were still slick and muddy.

Officials are urging people to avoid flooded roadways, turn around if they encounter high water, and stay informed as more rain could be coming this weekend.
