(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- Rain and spotty storms linger this Friday morning, making for a wet and dicey morning commute. Temperatures have been locked into the low 70s overnight, with mid-80s expected to finish off the work week.
Rain can be heavy at times, with a few lightning strikes possible. Look for storms and rain to taper off throughout the morning as winds stay light out of the south-southwest between 3 and 8 miles per hour.
We’ll get a bit of a break from the rain midday before the storms develop during the peak heating hours of the day. This will be as high temps aim for the mid-80s, landing near normal for this time of year.
Friday afternoon and evening will yet again see spotty rain and storm chances with isolated downpours possible. Be on the lookout for storms to peak around dinner time and linger into the evening.
We’ll dip into the low 70s overnight as we head into Father’s Day Weekend, and this active pattern continues. Look for Saturday to peak in the mid-80s before pop-up showers and storms plague the afternoon and evening.
Sunday will bring more of the same for Father’s Day, but a mix of sun and clouds will still be seen ahead of the wet weather. It won’t be washed out by any stretch this weekend, but make sure to have a backup plan in place just in case.
The upper 80s will land near 90 degrees heading into early next week as storm chances stick around through Monday and Tuesday. We’ll be mostly dry but hot by Wednesday of next week.
