Julie Chrisley is blonde again following her presidential pardon from prison.
Chrisley, 52, was seen sporting her signature golden locks while posing with two fans in a video posted via TikTok earlier this week.
Both Julie and her husband, Todd Chrisley, were released from federal prison on May 28 after being pardoned by President Donald Trump. While heading home to their Nashville residence,Julie was photographed with shoulder-length brown hair and graying roots.
The change in Julie’s appearance drew a lot of discussion from online pundits as well as “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who shared her unfiltered thoughts with Page Six Radio on May 31.
Julie Chrisley Has No Plans to Return to Blonde Hair After Prison Stay
“She looks, I mean, she’s been in jail for two years,” Thompson, 19, told the outlet. “Like, what did you guys expect?”
Days after her release, Julie’s son Chase Chrisley told Entertainment Tonight that his mom had no plans to return to platinum.
“I mean my mother’s an angel and she’s still a beautiful woman. Her hair’s darker now. I went, ‘Momma, we gotta [go] back platinum blonde,’” the 29-year-old claimed. “And she was like, ‘I’m not doing that.’”
Julie and Todd were first indicted in 2019 on charges of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy. After being found guilty, the couple reported to prison in January 2023 to serve a combined 19-year sentence. Julie was initially sentenced to seven years, while Todd received 12 years. However, later that year, their sentences were each reduced by nearly two years.
After the couple’s May 28 release, their son Grayson Chrisley went to pick up Julie from the detention center in Kentucky, while their daughter Savannah Chrisley picked up Todd from a Pensacola, Florida, prison. (The pair also share son Chase as well as adopted daughter Chloe, who is the biological child of Todd’s son Kyle. Todd is also dad to daughter Lindsie from a previous marriage.
“We just want to get home. We want to be reunited,” Savannah told reporters outside the Florida prison as she waited to greet her father upon his release. “My parents have not spoken to each other, heard each others’ voices or seen each other in the past two-and-a-half years.”
Earlier this month, Savannah, 27, appeared on PodcastOne’s “Unlocked” podcast and shared what Julie’s first 48 hours out of prison were like.
“Mom’s been at home, doing laundry, spending time with [adopted daughter] Chloe [and] me. The first morning she was home, we lay on my bed and just went through my Instagram and I just caught her up on all the posts and videos and everything that’s gone on since she left,” Savannah said. “It was really cool to see her reactions and catch her up on life.”
Julie Chrisley Spotted for 1st Time With Gray and Brown Hair After Prison Release
During a press conference in late May, Todd confirmed that he had already begun filming scenes for the family’s new Lifetime reality show after cameras picked up again following last month’s whirlwind news.
The new series was initially going to focus on Savannah and her siblings’ efforts to free their parents from prison and had already wrapped production when news of Todd and Julie’s pardons broke.
“It’s going to be absolutely amazing because it follows us from beginning, middle to end,” Savannah added of the as-yet-untitled show. “It started with us explaining the case and having lawyers on, and the advocacy work, to [now] Mom and Dad getting full presidential pardons.”
