Gordon Ramsay had the "cutest" reaction when a pair of his old contestants from Masterchef Junior reappeared on the latest season of Masterchef.
Ryan Kate Brandenburg, who teamed up with Kayla Mitchell on the children's version of the show, shared a video on her personal TikTok page over the weekend showing the moment that the professional chef and television host realized who they were when they returned for the "Dynamic Duos" season of the beloved reality cooking competition, calling it the "cutest throwback."
The rising star noted that it was her “favorite moment of season 15 so far,” as she looked back on the instant that Ramsay tracked who the two were, cutting them off quickly after they told him their names.
“Wait, wait,” he said, pointing at the two of them.
“Do we look a little familiar?” Brandenburg asked, as Ramsay clearly struggled to put his finger on the reason why.
"Yes, you do,” he said, squinting at them out of the corner of his eye.
Mitchell whipped out a photo of the two of them as kids on set, stunning the other judges.
“Oh my God, stop it!” Ramsay replied, finding himself even more surprised as he realized the two were inadvertently wearing the same colors. He then invited them to share what had happened between the two after the competition, where they each took home 6th and 7th place.
“Great to see you both,” he said genuinely. “Welcome back!”
