ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Yellow Alert for possible strong to severe storms Tuesday afternoon and night. Thunderstorms may bring very heavy rain, lightning, damaging wind gusts and hail. Timing of the storms will be mid to late afternoon around 3PM and then again this evening around 9PM. With the potential of multiple rounds of storms, rainfall could be significant and cause flash flooding. Rain amounts may exceed an inch with some areas getting close to two inches of rain. Flood watches are up for much of the region from Rochester points east and south. This will be a developing weather situation.
