LSU adds veteran bat with commitment from Kansas State transfer, Louisiana native

LSU’s 2025 season is very much alive, as the Tigers are looking to lock up a spot in the College World Series on Sunday night. But it’s never too early to take a transfer commitment.

Jay Johnson landed a notable commitment for his 2026 roster, as Kansas State transfer Seth Dardar, a Mandeville, Louisiana, announced that he is coming home to play for LSU.

First and foremost, I want to thank Kansas State University and the entire coaching staff for affording me the opportunity to make memories and friendships this year that will last a lifetime,” Dardar wrote in a note posted on social media. “To the Manhattan community and K-State fan base, thank you for taking me in and making me feel at home. The overwhelming support and love I felt from everyone at Kansas State is something I will cherish forever. With that being said, I have decided to come home and live out my dream to play at Louisiana State University! Thank you to everyone who was a part of my journey that has led me to this position, and thank you Coach Johnson, Coach Jordan, and the rest of the LSU staff for giving me the opportunity to live out this dream. Geaux Tigers!!!

It’s the second transfer for Dardar after spending 3 seasons at Columbia University in New York. He played the 2022 and ’23 seasons before sitting out 2024 due to injury.

This past season, at KSU, Dardar slashed .326/.429/.636. A 50-game starter, Dardar had 60 hits, including 18 doubles and 13 home runs. He collected 45 RBIs on the season.
