Kristin Chenoweth Is Looking Forward to Seeing This Song in ‘Wicked: For Good’ (Exclusive)

Just like theater fans around the world, Kristin Chenoweth can’t wait to see the second part of Wicked.

When asked on the red carpet at the 78th annual Tony Awards what she is looking forward to in Wicked: For Good, the 56-year-old actress exclusively told Parade, “I want to see them sing 'For Good.' That's really all I need.”

Chenoweth starred as Glinda opposite Idina Menzel’s Elphaba when the musical premiered on Broadway in 2003. She and Menzel made a surprise cameo in the first part of the two-part feature when Wicked hit theaters in November of last year.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo now star as Glinda and Elphaba, respectively, in the film franchise.

Erivo hosts this year’s Tony Awards, which celebrates the best of Broadway.

Chenoweth told Parade she was looking forward to seeing “all the performances from the musicals” at this year’s awards show, adding: “I would look forward to the plays if they were doing scenes, but I can't wait to see all the production numbers.”

Now that this Broadway season has come to a close, Chenoweth teased what fans could expect from her upcoming musical The Queen of Versailles.

“It is based on the documentary of the same name that was released in 2012 by Lauren Greenfield," Chenoweth explained. "It's about the Siegel family [Jackie and David Siegel]. It reunites Stephen Schwartz and I after 22 years, and it's an American cautionary tale.”

The musical, which is about the owners of Westgate Resorts as they build a mansion, Versailles, in central Florida, features music and lyrics by Schwartz, who wrote the musical Wicked.

Performances are scheduled to begin Oct. 8, 2025, at Broadway's St. James Theatre.
