(KRON) – A man was shot by an armed robber early Sunday morning in Petaluma, according to authorities.

The victim informed police that he was walking back to a nearby hotel near Redwood Way, when he was confronted by an armed male robber. The suspect demanded the victim’s items and displayed his firearm. The suspect then shot the victim twice, one bullet hit the victim’s hand and the other his leg, police said.
2 people hospitalized after San Francisco structure fireThe suspect fled the scene after the shooting. The victim self-transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect is at large. The suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall man who was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt. He was also masked.
