A country music icon has forged ahead, honoring her tour dates after her husband died of cancer last weekend.
Country star Lorrie Morgan, 65, announced on Instagram on June 1 that her husband Randy White, 72, had died of cancer.
"Randy has been my partner, my champion and my rock for 17 years. Our big, wonderful family and I are devastated at the loss of this truly kind and incredible man. I was blessed by his love. Ran-Ran, I will love and miss you forever," wrote Morgan.

The performance scheduled for May 31 with Morgan and good friend and fellow country star Pam Tillis in Louisiana was obviously canceled in light of White's death that weekend, but this weekend, Morgan has wanted to honor her commitments to her fans. She was joined on stage at the Mountain Arts Center on Friday, June 6, with her son, Jesse Keith Whitley, for her first performance since her husband's death. June 6 also happens to be Morgan's Opry anniversary — she was inducted into the Opry 41 years ago yesterday, on June 6, 1984.
On Facebook, a fan posted many videos of Whitley and Morgan performing and wrote, "Lorrie Morgan did not disappoint! She was one of the most down-to-earth artists I have ever seen in concert, and her son Jesse killed it! ❤️."
On Saturday, June 7, Morgan was also in Nashville for CMA Fest 2025 and a performance at Ryman Auditorium for the Opry 100 at the Ryman series. For that show, Morgan performed alongside Mandy Barnett, John Berry, T. Graham Brown, Dailey & Vincent, Jake Hoot, and Don Schlitz.
Whitley is Morgan's son from her marriage to country star Keith Whitley, which ended in tragedy when he died in 1989 from alcohol poisoning when he was just 34 years of age, and Lorrie was just 29. Whitley was the father of Jesse, and he also adopted Lorrie's daughter Morgan from her first marriage.
