(KRON) -- Stable conditions continue through the middle of next week, with seasonally warm temperatures inland, cooler temperatures along the coast, and morning clouds throughout the coast and the inland valleys. A cooling trend arrives at the end of next week.
Saturday's Key Message
The general weather situation remains stable today, with high pressure to our north and a weak area of low pressure to our south off the California coast. Satellite imagery shows stratus is at the coast, building inland across the Sonoma County valleys, and the Bayside East Bay. The stratus will continue to build inland through the morning hours, with the inland areas clearing out by the afternoon, even as low clouds linger at the coast. Today's forecast high temperatures are similar to yesterday's, with highs in the lower to middle 80s in the interior valleys, around the upper 60s to the upper 70s around the Bay, and the lower to middle 60s along the Pacific coast. This afternoon and evening bring an onshore breeze, with gusts of 20-30 mph through the gaps and passes.
Sunday through Friday
The weather remains stable through the middle of next week. The cutoff low will drift off the California coast until Sunday night. High pressure will move through Pacific Northwest before eroding. A deeper area of low pressure will arrive mid-week from the Gulf of Alaska. A cooling trend will kick in as the trough builds over us through end of next week.
The Climate Prediction Center suggests seasonal to cool temps will continue beyond the next seven days.
As always, check back with KRON4 for the latest updates.
