Adam Sandler Makes Hilarious Tribute to Favorite NFL Star: Sorry for the Disgusting Face

Adam Sandler just made Baltimore Ravens star Derrick Henry an offer he can’t refuse.

The Happy Gilmore 2 star shared a video on social media today in response to Derrick Henry’s appearance earlier this week on The Dan Patrick Show. While on the show, the NFL star confessed that Sandler is his favorite movie star. In response, Patrick told Henry he’d pull some strings and get him a part in a Sandler movie—if the athlete rushes for 2,000 yards during the 2025 NFL season.

Sandler got wind of the conversation and sent Henry a direct response via a social media video.

In the video, the Grown Ups star said, “Yo Derrick, I just woke up, you know that. That's why I look disgusting, on top of the fact that I am disgusting, but I love you. Congrats on everything, baby. 2,000 yards plus this year gets you not only in the movie, but we have a nice dinner together and talk about Dan Patrick's facial hair—and how hard it is for him to grow it. I love you. Keep it up.”

Henry saw the video and had a serious laugh, courtesy of everyone’s favorite funnyman.

Dan Patrick told Derrick Henry he would get him in an Adam Sandler movie if he reaches 2000 rushing yards this fall. Adam Sandler has agreed, and promised a dinner, as well, if Henry accomplishes the feat. (via @Dan Patrick Show) #adamsandler #derrickhenry #baltimoreravens #nfloffseason

It’s safe to say Henry now has even more incentive to break former Rams star Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards, set in 1984.
