Revered 90s Rocker, 61, Is So Fine in New Video

As frontman for the iconic Britpop band Pulp, Jarvis Cocker won fans the world over with his sly lyrics and unmistakable vocals. Those loyal listeners were devastated when the group went on hiatus in 2002 — but now Pulp is back with their first new album in 24 years, and music lovers are more than ready to see the lead singer back in action.

In a video shared to TikTok this week, Cocker, 61, chatted backstage with BBC talk show host Jools Holland, looking just as stylish as ever in brown pants, a blue velvet blazer over a patterned shirt and a pair of black-rimmed glasses.

Fans in the comments gushed over the singer's trademark style and youthful appearance.

"HE'S SO FINE," declared one person, with a second agreeing, "Jarvis is so cute."

    "Jarvis! Legend!" raved someone else.

"Jarvis washed and brushed his hair for the telly love that for him," quipped yet another fan.

In a recent interview with The New Yorker, Jarvis opened up about what it's been like playing with Pulp again after so long, noting that his voice has changed over the years.

"The first time we had a rehearsal, I thought the band had played a trick on me, and that they had moved the keys up, because it was really hard to get to all the notes," he admitted, adding, "But as you get older, it gets harder to hit high notes. So I thought, I could ask them to change the key, but maybe I’ll just see if I can get back up there. And I did manage to get there. I didn’t change the key of any of them."

Cocker went on to reveal that giving up milk helped him get his voice back in shape.

"Once I was able to do it, it was quite exciting," he said.

"When you’ve managed to play a song that’s twenty years old or whatever, it does kind of take you back to what you thought when you wrote it," Cocker continued. "You start to channel that same kind of energy through it. And through the course of my life, I have put a lot of my energy into songs. Maybe I should have put it into other things, who knows? But that’s where I put a lot of my life, in songs."

Pulp's new album, More, will be released on June 6, 2025.
