McDonald’s is reportedly adding a new item to its menu, one the brand believes will become a “future icon.” Naturally, fans were eager to find out what the fast food giant had in store.
The Big Arch is a brand-new burger launching later this month at all McDonald’s locations across the UK and Ireland. According to the chain, this isn't just another burger — it's one of the most stacked creations they have ever released, complete with a brand-new sauce.
McDonald’s is calling it their "most loaded bite" of all time.
"For the fans who usually throw in an extra cheeky menu item, this one’s for you. Big McDonald’s hunger deserves a big McDonald’s burger - and this is the most loaded bite we’ve ever served," Thomas O’Neill, Head of Menu at McDonald’s stated.
As for the details: The Big Arch Sauce is spread on both the top and bottom sesame seed buns. The burger includes crispy onions, shredded lettuce, fresh onions and pickles, along with a slice of white cheddar cheese on each side, two 100% British and Irish beef patties, and a third slice of cheese between the patties.
"It’s designed to do two things, it’s designed to satisfy big McDonald’s hunger like nothing else on our menu and it’s also designed to taste amazing," the brand ensures.
While excitement is building for the burger itself, many fans are just as curious about the new Big Arch Sauce. The recipe reportedly includes ketchup, mustard and pickle juice, finished with a peppery kick.
"A new iconic burger needs an equally iconic sauce, and we’ve taken it up a notch with the Big Arch,” O’Neill added.
As for pricing, the Big Arch will be available à la carte for £7.99, while a Big Arch Medium Meal will start at £9.99 — though prices may vary slightly across the UK’s 1,560+ locations.
