Class of 2026 offensive tackle Emanuel Tucker announced Monday via social media that he is reopening his recruitment and will back off his pledge to Mississippi State. He originally committed to Jeff Lebby and Co. in February of this year.

I would like to announce that I’m no longer committed to Mississippi State University.
— Emanuel Tucker (@EmanuelTucker7) June 2, 2025This is a major, major loss for the Bulldogs on the recruiting trail. Tucker was Mississippi State’s highest-rated commit, considered to be the No. 224 prospect in the country and a top 20 offensive lineman. With Tucker backing off his commitment, Mississippi State is now without a 4 or 5-star prospect in the 2026 cycle.
There are a few teams to keep an eye on when considering where Tucker will eventually end up. The New Albany, Mississippi native had previously given Miami a good look, but also holds offers from the likes of Ole Miss, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and LSU, to name a few.
Of those listed, expect Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss to be major players. Tucker decommitted from Mississippi State a day after visiting Ole Miss, which he posted about below:
