CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) -- We’ll be wet and stormy on Tuesday, with well below-normal temperatures expected through the afternoon. This morning, we'll start off with showers and patchy fog, with temperatures in the low to mid-50s.
We’ll stay cool and chilly for most of the morning as rain tracks east towards the I-77 corridor. Rain will become more widespread throughout the morning, and an isolated thunderstorm is possible this afternoon.

Highs will be well below normal, only hitting the low 60s through the peak heating hours of the day. Skies will stay mostly cloudy with lingering showers expected through tonight. Warmer temperatures will return through mid-week as a warm front approaches from the south.
Look for lows to dip into the mid-50s before the upper-70s finish off the week. Wednesday will keep the cloud cover coming with showers and storms lingering into the second half of the week. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 60s will linger Thursday and Friday, with intermittent rain still possible.
80s return this weekend with partly cloudy skies likely. We’ll continue to warm up throughout the weekend despite rain chances moving back in for the end of the weekend and start to the work week.
