RCB Playing 11 vs LSG- IPL 2025, Match 70

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 70th match of IPL 2025. This article provides details about RCB's Playing 11 vs LSG for match 70 of IPL 2025.

RCB Playing 11 vs LSG- IPL 2025, Match 70:

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will open the innings with former captain Virat Kohli and Philip Salt for the upcoming match against LSG on Tuesday. The duo will look to give the team a solid start in their last league game.

Philip Salt made a comeback in the last match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad after missing a few games due to an injury and made an instant impact for the team while chasing a daunting total.

Having said that, Salt will join England to fulfill his national commitments and is expected to be replaced by New Zealand batter Tim Seifert, who has been signed as a replacement for another Englishman, Jacob Bethell.

Virat, on the other hand, also played an attacking innings against SRH and would like to replicate that in the next match against LSG.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Mayank Agarwal, Rajat Patidar (c), Romario Shepherd, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Manoj Bhandage, Krunal Pandya

Royal Challengers Bengaluru is expected to go with an unchanged batting lineup and would hope for the likes of Mayank Agrawal, captain Rajat Patidar, who played as an impact substitute against SRH, and Jitesh Sharma to put on a solid show.

RCB would be disappointed, especially by the performance of their middle-order batters, as the team lost seven wickets for sixteen runs after getting off to a good start in pursuit of a big total.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru has also dealt a major blow in the form of Tim David, who picked up an injury while fielding against SRH and might not be available for the game against LSG in Lucknow

It would be interesting to see who the RCB decide to bring in the playing XI, given the Australian batter is an integral part of the team, due to his big-hitting abilities in the final five overs.

RCB would want Romario Shepherd to bring his A game on the field in the absence of Tim David, as the former will also feature in IPL 2025 for one last time.

The onus now will be more on Jitesh Sharma, who captained Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the last match, to contribute more with the bat and guide the team to a match-winning total while batting first.

Jitesh might continue to lead the side against LSG if Rajat is not able to fully recover from the injury he has been nursing.

Bowlers: Suyash Sharma, Yash Dayal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood

Royal Challengers Bengaluru received a major boost before the game against LSG when the news of Josh Hazlewood's availability for the next game broke out.

Hazlewood's absence came to haunt Royal Challengers Bengaluru massively in the last game as the bowlers were not able to stem the flow of runs on a batting-friendly wicket in Lucknow.

Having said that, RCB would want a fully fit Josh Hazlewood to step on the field against LSG as the Australian pacer has been managing an injury.

Lungi Ngidi will make way for Hazlewood. The South African fast bowler is all set to link up with the South African squad for the WTC final.

As far as RCB's spin department is concerned, it will be taken care of by Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma.
