The Food Network is bringing 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing season 2 to a close on Sunday, May 25 with a two-part finale, simply called "Shift 8: Part 1" and "Shift 8: Part 2." The description for them reads:
"In the final shift featuring elevation, co-hosts Michael Symon and Esther Choi give the five weary finalists a challenge that will be familiar to them. This sets the course for the final three challenges, which will require making an elevated breakfast, lunch and dinner for judges Antonia Lofaso, Graham Elliot and Jet Tila. But as these chefs have come to learn, these last challenges will not be quite what they expected."
Read on to find out who won and what happened to eliminate the other four chefs, but be warned of spoilers ahead. Don't keep reading if you don't want to be spoiled.
Who was eliminated in the '24 in 24: Last Chef Standing' season 2 finale?
At the start of the two-hour finale, there were three chefs left — Kelsey Murphy, Kathleen O'Brien Price and Kevin Lee. Lee was revealed to be the last member of the final five. Kelsey and Kathleen were both there for 20 hours, and they took it pretty hard to go home so close to the finale, especially Kelsey.
For the final five, "Elevation" was the theme for the first part of shift 8. The first challenge for the final four hours of the show was just like in the first season — the speed test from shift 1. The first chef to finish was awarded the Golden Knife, which turned out to be Kevin, just like at the beginning.

His prize for winning was that he got to assign the protein for each meal for each chef (breakfast, lunch and dinner, proteins were beef, lamb, chicken, shellfish and pork). Kevin chose shellfish for himself, then assigned beef to Sawyer, lamb to Nini, pork to Steph and chicken to Bryan. He also got to assign styles, so everyone's breakfast had to be classic.
The judges chose Nini and Kevin for the bottom two chefs, and then they sent Kevin home. He made lobster eggs benedict with herb bernaise sauce and avocado, but he put lettuce on it and his hot food wilted the lettuce. Plus, he didn't split his English muffins, so the dish ate bread-heavy.
Bryan was declared the winner and he got the Golden Knife back, which gave him the power to reshuffle the names in terms of protein they would have for the next cook, which was an elevated lunch, but he chose to leave the proteins the same, much to Nini's consternation because she does not like cooking with lamb.
