A woman has been arrested by federal police after the attack at the city’s central station on Friday evening, according to Bild.
The newspaper said three of the victims were seriously injured and six were lightly wounded, with some of the injuries being treated on trains.
Hamburg police said there was currently a “major police operation” at the train station and they were investigating.
The motivation for the attack remains unclear.
It follows a series of mass stabbings in Germany this year, with the latest taking place outside a bar in the city of Bielefeld on Sunday.
