A woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of having sex with a 17-year-old student while working as a campus aide at an Imperial Beach high school.
Detectives arrested Lisette Veles Ortega, 31, an employee of RO Healthcare, a contractor used by Mar Vista High School, on multiple counts, including engaging in sexual intercourse and oral copulation with a minor, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Unit they responded to the campus Monday after a report that a contracted student support aide was engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Ortega was being held at Las Colinas women’s jail in Santee on $250,000 bail. Her arraignment is set for Friday.
She also faces charges of arranging a meeting with a minor for the purposes of committing a lewd act, communicating with a minor with intent to commit a lewd act and trying to prevent a victim from reporting a crime,
